That's a bummer, I recently watched my copy of GvB and it appears to be one of the problem discs. But if Echobridge wants me to pay for shipping it back to them I may not bother with the whole thing as it only cost me $7.

I know Kain can't get any help from this, not having an FYE near him, but I got a corrected copy a few weeks back at mine. It cost $14-15 but between shipping and waiting, it was money well spent.

Well, if it does have commentary, I'll be buying yet ANOTHER copy of the movie. I'm not a fan of double dipping, but it's Godzilla. I'll double dip for Godzilla.

If it has everything fixed audio wise, then I'll rebuy it. HOpefully they give it a better cover though. Oh, and it would be nice if they fixed the black levels to US standards so I don't have to change any settings.

It's using the same cover as Echobridge, sans the, "For the first time ever..." graphic. Looks like it will be the exact same Echobridge disc. Disappointing, because I would really like to have that commentary.

If Toho mandated that Lionsgate abide by the same "no extra content that isn't provided by us" rule they recently came up with for Media Blasters, we're definitely not going to get Ed Godziszewski's commentary. I think the only hope for that is if it was somehow released online like a podcast.

I wasn't sure there ever really was a problem with the EBHE audio because I only saw one fan complaint on all the forums regarding it, I even asked the EB employee at TK about it, but shortly after the discs release I guess he felt he job was done and never returned to the forums. But I'll never have surround sound so it doesn't effect me. I'd much rather have the commentary than anything else. I'm much more curious to know how Lionsgate obtained this film from EBHE. If there is nothing different about it, I certainly am not going to pay double the original price for something I already have.

BTW, to answer your question about how LGF got the license from EB, they are releasing a TON of EB titles in Sept and Oct, so maybe they bought them out or something. Although, I believe I read a while back that Miramax opened their doors back up and were selling their properties off to LGF.
