AnimeExpo was the event in question, and the thing mentioned was apparently Metal Build, a scaled line that's covered a lot of Gundams in particular.

To be fair, there was a point in time Tamashii and Bluefin didn't know a lot about the Godzilla monsters and had to do their own research. This is no different, but yeah, easily skipped over since they never made a film appearance.

I've been pulling my metaphorical hair out all night. I finally have enough money to get Biollante and the price bumps up to 230 again. She still $214 at BBTS (but as a pre-order, which is odd) and Toy Arena (but no mention of shipping and I still would like to make sure they're a good site). But lo an behold Amazon.ca has her for $197 which is only $181 US (according to Google's currency converter). Google-fu says Amazon.ca should ship to the US so I log and go to buy it. But it won't ship to the US, no idea why. I may try the help chat when I get out of work.

Until then, any Canadian MZ want to help a brother out?

Since Toku/Anime hero fandoms overlap in this collectors community I thought it'd be cool to post this

Uuugghhhnn this again....

Please tell me that I'm correct in thinking that this is just pointless fandom rabble rousing, and the Blue Fin/Tamashii Nations is sticking with that interview with "these characters are so obscure that it’s hard vouche for them for the US fan base, especially if the people within Bandai haven’t heard of them".

All these Baganologists mang....

>_> I'd still get one if its ever made tho.

But seriouslly, give me Godzilla 84, Titanosaurus, or Showa Mechagodzilla. Or some Mothra characters. I'd be kinda upset if someone like Bagan got a release before someone like Mobile Sheriff Jiban or Android Metalder got releases from Bandai.

For the love of God do your best to not them get made before a '54 version comes out. It's be a freaking travesty.

Honestly, the figures of those characters would probably come at a way later date. I don't think you would have to worry about 1954 taking years to come out. Remember that Tamashii likes to put out 1-2 Godzilla's in a year.

I think Bagan/Super Godzilla is such a horrible idea and shame on Bandai/Tamashi for even entertaining the notion.

Regarding Godzillas for this line...

I'd be down for a 54, 62 and 84. My three favorite suits.

Japan doesn't really like doing Bad Guy figures. They're kind of rare when you look at a lot of Japanese toy lines. I think the only exceptions I see are Gundam, Transformers, and kaiju oriented lines like Ultraman and Godzilla.
