Hercules: The Legend Begins

Couldn't find a pre existing thread for this using search.. so here's a new one... trailer for one of two Hercules movies that are coming out soon... this is the one that doesn't star The Rock.... also it apparently doesn't know much about Hercules other than he is a son of Zeus... the trailer is really perplexing... like did they just take another script and change the main character's name to Hercules?

This reminds me of Immortals....and that's not a good thing. Immortals was one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time....and this looks like a sequel to it.

I love The Rock. Probably won't be seeing this, but I'm more on board for this than the other Hercules movie.

So, in that link, there are a couple of first-look pics of The Rock as Hercules, and I gotta say, "MEH."

For starters, maybe I'm unfamiliar with the legend, maybe Disney has tainted my mind, but I always pictured Hercules more clean-shaven and less hard-rocker in appearance.

Also, The Rock is legitimately JACKED, why does he need to wear a vest that has fake muscles on it?

So I wasn't going to watch this....but it's got monsters in it.

I thought this was the one without any of the mythological elements....
Anyhow, if I get bored enough and can catch a matinee I'll check this out.
