The film again tonight to a surprisingly packed theater. It feels good to overhear the positive conversations as I exit the multiplex:

"That was a good one."

"What did you see?"
"We saw Godzilla. It was really good."

"Why was Godzilla going after those other monsters?"
"Because they're ancient enemies and-- you know! The guy said he could restore balance and nature and--"
"Oh, right, right, right..."

I was about 5 minutes from watching again..then my stupid unit did a recall and I had to leave along with my kid...so pissed!

I watched it for the fourth time. No more. I like it less with each viewing.

Gonna hold off until the blu-ray release...maybe even longer (just watch the special features n' such)

I'm in the category that I like it more upon the more viewings I have.

I finally saw it in 3D. Wanted to go see X-MEN! (X-MEN!) SAVES THE DAY! (SAVES THE DAY!) X-MEN! COMING YOUR WAAAYYY

But the show I was at had a busted projector, and so they offered refunds or tickets to see something else. So I figured, I'll finally see Godzilla in 3D. The 3D didn't do it for me until the kaiju finally started throwing down and we saw military and destruction sequences.

Finally made it to another showing..everything gets better with each viewing specially the pacing.
-watched in one of the smaller theaters but was pleasantly surprised to see it 75% full.
-Film flows better each time, main character still doesn't bother me.
-The cutaways from action come off better as well, first battle is seen on TV, the disappointment from missing the 2nd battle is quickly overcome because the Halo jump occurs immediately thereafter thus regaining the attention of the audience.
-Audiences whether their 1st or repeat viewings still murmur in awe at some of the scale shots in the film. Also still clap at certain points and the ending.
-The score really helps set and maintain the mood throughout the entirety of the film, the landing in Hawaii is still great on repeat viewings.
-Overheard on the exit "awesome" "badass" etc etc to include a pair of 12 yr. olds discussing Godzilla 2000.
Overall a great viewing
