I think Goyer has always been like this, he's just becoming more of a loudmouth.

However you feel about him I do think Snyder has genuine appreciation for the more over-the-top aspect of these characters. He just has to fall in line with the dark n gritty tone set by Nolan and Goyer's work.

I personally disagree. I think Goyer and Nolan both have a better track record than Snyder despite some big misses from Goyer. I'm definitely not a Snyder fan, especially how his films handle women (with the exception of Dawn of the Dead)

Superman taking Zod out didn't bother me that much because it was obvious Clark was emotionally devastated the moment after it happened. It's pretty clear he knows better than that know. It's no different than Batman letting Ducard/Ra's fall to his death in Batman Begins, only I don't think Bruce was as shaken up about that. He did save the Joker later and I think Supes will have a similar moment of personal growth in Batman v Superman.

Yeah, he did save the Joker, and ten minutes later he killed Harvey/Two Face.

^That scene where Batman shrugs his shoulders, looks over to Gordon and says; "Hey, live and learn." Is Bale's best moment.

The Joker wins, though. Batman even says it.

I believe Gordon said it. Batman's retort was, "But The Joker can not win."

Watchmen was great, MOS was okay, I don't see anything special about 300.

I just don't think what he did in MOS should be applied to Superman let alone the rest of the DC universe. At least Marvel generally interprets the characters in a manner that seems consistent with my memory of them in stories (minus the Mandarin)

Watchmen was terrible, especially insulting to anyone who had read the graphic novel. 300 was ok...not great, but the graphic novel wasn't all that good(or historically accurate) either. Man of Steel was decent though...I'll give you that.

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who loves both the movie and graphic novel versions of Watchmen.
