After my second viewing, doesn't it bother anyone about the atomic bomb detonating in San Francisco Bay? It was said that the bomb was going to make the 1954 bomb look like a firecracker, yet there was no damage or radioactive fallout anywhere in San Francisco. If they didn't want to show any radioactive fallout / damage from the blast, why not have Godzilla consume the bomb before it detonated? Have him "sleep" afterwards, making the audience question if he died, then arise and vanish off into the ocean as he did in the film.

I have to be honest here, and say I am pleasantly surprised to see Godzilla go beyond expectations of the critics and even the studios expectations too.

I'm wondering what a realistic final number is. Godzilla needs 380 million to break even, so what would be considered a "win" for LP?

Probably didn't feel the need to do so. This Godzilla is no where near as aggressive as one's from before. I was expecting him to go all The Return of Godzilla on the military in that Golden Gate Bridge scene.

I suppose it could be argued that Godzilla absorbed the radiation from the blast, but it still seems like that would have taken years, rather than a few hours.

Also, did anyone else notice that there was some score that's not on the official soundtrack?

There's this choir piece near the beginning where Serizawa is being flown into the Philippines by helicopter.

Another example is when Godzilla shares eye contact with Ford. The music being played during that scene is beautiful, and it's not even a part of the soundtrack.
