The Jakks Pacific toy looks like a low resolution image when you see it up close. Like they sculpt it at 1/5 of the final size and digitally blew it up.

...I'm actually pretty sure that's what they did.

That was a really good review… God(zilla!) the sheer size of that thing alone makes me want it. I'll sleep on it.

I was at Wal-Mart today hoping they might be starting to get some of the toys in since Target and K-Mart are starting to stock them. No dice yet, perhaps later this week.

I am sore tempted by the Jakks Pacific Godzilla -- I never had a giant Godzilla figure as a kid and this one just looks fun; at least they've been spotted at K-Mart now, there are no Toys-R'Us's within reasonable driving distance for me but there's a K-Mart in town.

So, any word on if Bandai Japan is going to do any new Godzilla merch for the new movie? Wouldn't mind a really detailed Godzilla 2014 or Muto vinyl.

^Yep. Flip back a page or two on this thread for some low quality pictures.

I just want to see the 24in NECA figure...I know it's the same basic concept as the 12in figure, but some updated pics would be nice.

I'm also hoping X Plus does a G14 model. That could be awesome.

And we need more muto toys!

I agree with Hybrid. All the g-figures are nice but man I want some decent size Muto toys. Not these tiny 2-3 inflexible toys...give me some 6-12" Mutos!!!

I feel like all the Mutos so far have been built off of some stiff looking concept art rather than actually seeing the monster in action, so I'm optimistic future releases will look a bit better. Or maybe that's wishful thinking

I'm hoping we'll get a nice MonsterArt, if not that I'd like a NECA figure.

Actually, if I'm honest. I want a Marmit Heaven of both monsters. Godzilla is so chunky he'd be perfect for it.

I'd be all over a modern M1 or a Marmit Monster Heaven release

I stopped by my local K-Mart today and was a mite disappointed to find a glaring absence of Godzilla toys, especially the big Jakks Pacific figure, at least I know K-Mart is carrying it as the figure is on their website for $40. It's okay though, I'm actually hoping that K-Mart will put the figure on sale in the next couple-three weeks, they're pushing Amazing Spider-Man 2 toys right now and hopefully Godzilla is next.

EDIT: I thought I'd check to see if NECA had finally released some more information on those 2" mini-figures they're going to offer. It looks like right now that the release has been pushed back again to the end of May (the 28th is the number turning up right now), but there is at least a promo sheet for retailers out there. Unfortunately the pictures of the promo sheet are only midling size but we can at least get a couple details from it, the 10 piece set will include the 2014 Godzilla and previous incarnations.

Image

My looking also turned up that Toho Kingdom has some exclusive pictures of 4 figures, all of Showa era Godzilla designs and 3 different from the atomic ray Godzilla on the promo sheet. Between the TK pictures and the promo sheet we get a glimpse of half the 10 piece set. Toho Kingdom has asked folks credit them if reposting on other websites, but as they have 13 images in total I'll just direct you to their thread to see them.

http://www.tohokingdom.com/forum/viewto ... 11&t=18727

It's been somewhat frustrating that NECA/Wiz Kids doesn't have much of anything out their as far images go. NECA is still using a placeholder for the 24 inch Godzilla figure they're doing (I know plenty of folks are interested in it) and the Wiz Kids site (under which NECA is releasing the 2 inch figures) has nothing Godzilla related at all even though the promo sheet directs retailers there.

There was a picture of four of the minifigures that I saw around the internet... and they look like ass.

Found this image from the TK forum. HG Gashapon Godzilla and "Character" A, B, and C will be released this Summer. The banner says July 25, but another source claims the release date will be around August. The figures are priced around 300 yen each.
