There's still a reasonable amount of suspense for me as far as actually seeing the beam in motion.

Pretty much every beam since G89 has been more of a focused, thin beam. GMK had a sweeping ethe Showa beam sometimes expanded outwards. Either way is fine by me.

Dorkzilla....when replying to the a question in spoiler tags, shouldnt you also use spoiler tags in response? I know some of this has been divulged, but please keep the rest of us in mind.

I've also noticed that this Godzilla seems to open its lower jaw at an insane angle to accommodate the breath coming out of his mouth. Almost as if he doesn't want the beam to singe or burn his lower teeth and tongue. Kind of reminds me of a rattlesnake in mid-strike.
