I trust in them regarding the revision of the already bombastic 2012 script,
so far this movie will be GODZILLA as good as it gets! 8)

The Bryan Cranston narration found here seems in keeping with what we know from the spoilers: http://www.godzillamovie.com/awakenthetruth/

The new trailer tomorrow may have further clues!

It is a pleasure to see the new poster of Godzilla striding through San Francisco in flames, and that EMPIRE cover is such a powerful graphic. Retooling an icon may be inspiring the creativity that we were wanting from this project!

With Edward's statement confining bear/dog/eagle inspiration for the face of Godzilla, with the last lending nobility and majesty, well that sounds pretty fine to me! And Serkis having lent some mo-cap aspects to bring "soul" to the animation also seems very positive. The excitement builds!

Diablojira, you are doing good work piecing it together. The new trailer seems to confirm a lot of what you have written to date.

Thanks! Godzilla arriving in Hawaii and causing a tsunami is something not from the draft script, but an excellent improvement. Also, the script pages mentioned the male MUTO feeding on a nuclear sub, and to do so he exuded some sort of bioluminescent goo to absorb it, and there seems to brief a brief image of that sort of process in the new trailer. That draft screenplay that Snowdenzilla has is clearly the basis for this film.

Let's do a check list.

Las Vegas being attacked by our resident female Muto? CHECK.

Navy Seals finding nuclear cargo coated in Muto slime? CHECK.

Godzilla being around since the 50s? CHECK.

Even the Godzilla image on the H-bomb checks out.

Also we see the ICBM cocooned upside-down in the bioluminescent webbing underground in what might be a BART subway tunnel, which now explains why we have the scene of the claw crunching a subway car. When she arrives in San Francisco, she digs down to set up her nest. Yes the bridge appear smashed in the background. I wonder if the MUTOs electrical abilities include a sort of EMP pulse which shorted out the fighter planes making them drop like stones into the bay?

Don't forget to mention the Godzilla skeleton, AND the Hokmuto emitting a shockwave:

Yes, the skeleton scene is there and I had not yet caught the shock wave — I've only had time to see the new trailer twice, so will look more closely. Some folks had thought Snowdenzilla's screenplay was fan-fiction, but I think it has become clear with this trailer that he had an authentic early draft for this film, and that regardless of whatever improvements that have been made, the final story seems to have many of the essential ideas from that draft.

I humbly request that if you make an update you make a new post. It would be good to keep your last update as February 14th since it lends credibility to the leaks to date (as in you didn't edit the text to make it more accurate).

Ya know, while the bit about the skeletons is true, it's different than what we were told. The skeletons in the script where found in ice, yes? The one in the trailer was just laying on the ground. Thawed it out maybe?

Kind of forgivable given that the spoilers we have are from a draft....I mean there was no precedent before Snowden to even thing there would be a Godzilla skeleton in the first place.

The "Jira" skeleton appears to be in a cavern, perhaps in permafrost since it is in Siberia at a uranium mine. Seeing the nuclear plant disaster from a distance as its structure collapses in the trailer was also noted in the draft. Godzilla's spines rising behind the H-bomb on its frame (you ca see that if you watch it on a large screen) is a wonderful image. Again, the details of this scene were also in that draft. The MUTOs are shown so fleetingly, but the glimpses look intriguing.

I enjoy Godzilla being out in the light of day and not obscured by night and rain.

I will not re-edit my plot synopsis on this thread, but later may post an addendum after studying the new trailer in more detail. But for anyone wondering about what some of the images refer to in this trailer, the synopsis seems to have some probable answers.

The timeline needs to be extended from 10 to 15 ybp for the Janjira accident. The Joe Brody character analysis is dead on.

There's a moment in the new trailer where something like a fin smashes through a bridge as the soldier leaps away. If you look closely at the scene where they are investigating the Jira skeleton, there is a similar fin smack in the middle upon which they shine a flashlight, as if it cut through the spine of the dead Jira. So it is a MUTO appendage smashing the bridge, likely the "praying mantis" sort of forearms mentioned.

Possible. Hadn't caught the fin near the skeleton. I'm guessing the reason they find the cavern at all is because a sinkhole has formed above it. Would be the reason the MUTO organization are investigating others.
