Trying to get his face right? It wouldn’t be hard, you have 60 years of designs to work off of. There are at least three versions that people on this board like that he could have drawn from, instead we get a dog/bear hybrid. It’s weird, Edward seems like a good dude but that face thing is a huge deal breaker.

Dog, bear, cat - Godzilla's always had a mammal-ish face that reflects those animals far more than a straightforward reptile. Edwards broke apart the formula and found specific reference points true to the whole.

I like how they extended it. I mean Jesus, imagine being woken up in the middle of the night by THAT.....

Still not feeling the new roar. 84 roar is still the most powerful roar IMO.

Everything else looks cool though, so I like most of everything else we're getting.

See, I don't think the 84 roar has a lot of variance. The 89 roar seemed more varied to me...

anyway, this new one, I'm on the fence. It's pretty badass, but the thing that was just uploaded is LONG. Imagine if Godzilla roars for like 15-20 seconds every time he opens his mouth...I dunno if I dig this extended version as much as I was starting to like the one at the end of the trailer.

The spikes certainly more closely resemble GINO than the traditional Godzilla.

The first part of the roar goes on for way too long and ends up sounding like a rising orchestra more than a roar. I like the roar in the trailer but this sounds a bit too manipulated for my tastes.
