Look, this movie by all intents and purposes looks like an Action/Sci Fi/Disaster film. At some point they are going to need to market this movie on the thrills and not just the mystery. I think the point HannibalBarca is getting at is that after one leak, and one teaser, the next trailer is going to be ANOTHER brooding mood piece. I can see why that is slightly disappointing. I would rather have an action shot of Godzilla fighting something than another murky look at him.
That being said, Gareth has said that this movie is more about suspense, so there is a chance that these trailers are accurate of the over-all tone of the film/how they handle most of the monster scenes. In that case I can also see why some fans could be disappointed by that given that Godzilla has been a very action oriented franchise to date.
