I work in the media industry. I've personally authored hundreds of retail Blu Ray and DVD disks- a couple of which you may even own.

By definition, a telecine is when a new print is converted to digital and then taken into the color correction house for final mastering.

You're in-f*cking-correct. Period.

They're brand spanking new scans- probably sourced at 2.5 or even 4K.

If you can discern film grain on the new disks- you're wrong. I'm going to make sure to come back to this topic and post some screen grabs here to rub it in come May. That way, the next time that you carry on like this, people can just post pictures of film grain to shut you up while making cheesy jokes about how you should stop feeling like you need to go against the grain.

Most of the mods are rarely on. I tried getting something stickied a year or so ago and it took a number of PMs and a couple of days to even get a response. It would be nice if one of the more long term members that still frequents daily would get promoted.

This board just needs moderators, period. We've got nine administrators but no one (to my knowledge) whose role is simply to moderate discussions. The closer we get to the release G'14, the more we're going to need daily mods.

Yes, and this is no ill will towards Snowden, but, the thing is, he's not a moderator/admin. I wish that Shonokin, Kpa, someone would ban a few folks and bring order back the forum.
