Happy Lunar New Year! 2014: The Year of the Horse & Godzilla!
Image

Got my Monsterarts G2k in last week and it's awesome! The articulation in his tail is the best so far! The fingers are not articulated which was reported earlier which is a little disappointing. Minor gap issues but tolerable given the extra articulation in the figure.

Also I realized I forgot to take photos of the Destoroyah Evolution Set previously so here are some.

Mothra's stand has been revealed it's white with orange maybe yellowish text. I'll see if I can find the picture of it.

I couldn't find the picture and sadly Tim the shot that showed the base didn't have a close up of it I could only see that it was like the standard SHMA bases with orange/yellow on it.

Naruto might have the picture I think he was the one that posted it.

Hmm, it's odd that Mothra's stand hasn't really been shown yet, when Battra's was seen almost since the first time the figure was revealed. There's no picture I've seen around with Mothra's stand and I usually see them all, only ones that use a clear Act 4 and then an Act 5 in the latest Akiba Showroom display.

Not the picture I saw but gives you an idea of what the base will look like. This time the base is black the one I saw was white with orangish color.

were people complaining about the Battra larva size based on conjecture? or is the scale really far off? It looks fine to me.

Oh, I bet somewhere someone will complain about the Larva's size. I think its superb. It's beastly! Looks just fine to me, and seeing it's size compared to the Mothra larva AND Godzilla 2000, I think it's well worth the 90-100 they are asking for.

They look better there, but still not worth $100 to me. I'll bite at $75.

I'm pretty happy with the way the release is shaping up. I am happy with what I've seen of Battra, but the inclusion of Mothra really puts this one over the edge for me. I think this might be in my top 3 for releases in this series. We'll see when I get it in hand...

Ordered MOGERA tonight because it was on sale at Amazon. I figured I should bite now before it goes up in price.

When the Larva set was initially announced the general consensus was the price tag was wayyy to expensive for small dinky larva's. It wasn't until Battra's height specs came in that everyone has now feels the value may be worth it. Especially with pictures like this surfacing. I think it's a FAR better deal than the Destoroyah Evolution Set.

The cheapest I've seen it for Pre-order in the states is $89.99 through E-Knightmedia. Free shipping.

still wondering what the "stand/pedestal" is for the Mothra larvae. Is it inspired from the Mothra egg perhaps... ?

EDIT: Saw this pic in a blog and looks good for size scale against Ultras.

Not sure how long it'll last but Amazon has G64 for $48.20 so if you haven't picked it up yet now might be a good time to do so.

I have no qualms with a Bagan release in of itself, but Christ! Do someone who was in a movie first!

I think a more fair version of what people would like for a Monsterarts is better seen here, or on Tokunation. Some segments of the fandom make no sense to me, especially one where they think War of The Gargantuas has no place in a kaiju world. I wish there was some way to get the folks at Bluefin to listen...

What's Rulers of the Earth?

I stopped reading their comics at like issue 8 or 9. I know it was after Obama introduced MechaGodzilla and I think it went berserk or something. I cannot remember because the comic started out good when they killed the Jersey Shore jackasses, but then it started going downhill from them as every issue was just introducing a new monster rather than actually doing anything them.

Rulers Of The Earth is the current comic and its pretty much the best Godzilla comic from IDW. Basically almost everyone who hated the first series likes this one.

Also I think the best one made ever is Half Century War.

So, does anyone think that silly poll over at TK (you know, where SUPER GODZILLA is number 3) has any bearing on which characters get made?
