Keep in mind that Snowden's script is an earlier version, which was (I believe) rewritten and then with heavy 'sprucing-up' by Darabont. While it probably has most of the same major set-pieces and general plot a lot of the details are bound to be different.

Honestly though, if pronounced with a Japanese accent, Godzilla is a decent adaptation of Gojira.

If the scene plays out the same, hopefully the person pronouncing the name doesn't say, "Go-JEER-ah" only to have a person bungle it as Godzilla. If they were to say, "Go - jidah,' more akin to the Japanese r/l sound I would be fine with the scene.

Well, I could resist no more and finally read through all the spoilers in here. And I'm SO glad I did. XD I like everything I've read here! If the final film retains just part of what's described as being in this version, I'll be happy. ^_^

You've mentioned before, Snowdenzilla, that you don't want to leak the script proper because it may contain watermarks or things which could track it back to you or your source. I was wondering, wouldn't it be possible to do something like download Celtx and just transcribe the screenplay (sans anything traceable), save it as a .pdf and then upload it to a media sharing site that terminates the file after a designated amount of time?

Or are you just more comfortable keeping your distance as is? Just curious.

Interesting to note the change in tone over at TK. Last month Snowden was shunned and banned for talking about the script. Now some are openly discussing the script and how he might have been right all along.

what I am wondering is how a movie as stark and serious as this is getting a kids toyline (as opposed to the collectors toylines we see from Bandai).

Is there room in the script to get something that would appeal to kids?
