After messing with my new figures, I feel like Jr., Kong, and Mosu-Goji are some of the best MAs. Right up with SpaceGodzilla.

You know what, I think I am done preordering Tamashii items at Amazon. Biollante is now $215 for those who did NOT preorder her. Meanwhile, because I did, and she has shipped, I had to pay the full $229.

What sucks is that I pre-ordered Biollante at Anime Island, who has yet to get it in. Meanwhile, it's available almost everywhere else. Dammit!!

Personally, since BlueFin has taken up distributing in the US and made Japaneses Web-exclusives not web exclusives, I have no reason to really pre-order. If something was going to be an exclusive, I could see doing that since that's how I missed out on having a Super-MeachGodzilla. Sorry things aren't shipping out for you guys. I'm just jealous that you already bought them, I still got to save up.

G64 was higher price because he's a web exclusive. All the SHMA web exclusives are a bit higher priced than normal releases.

G64 would have been cheaper without some of the more useless articulation points.

I'm still not getting the "useless articulation points" comments from a segment of the fandom :|

Reminds me of the episode of Gundam Build Fighters were NotRanbaRal was commenting about the articulation points of the newer gundam kits.

I dunno, Mosu-Goji is, as of now, my favorite MonsterArt.

I really don't see this as a disaster. I see a fun super articulated figure of Mosu-Goji. I don't know that you could ever really call a toy a disaster unless it's falling apart in a heap and making buyers ill. Disaster, being used to describe a toy, feels more like desperate hyperbole in an effort to downgrade a pretty great figure.

While G64 would be cheaper without those articulation points....it'd be even cheaper if it didn't exist and they just reissued the memorial box vinyl.
:/ The whole point is the articulation. It's not a detriment, at least not in this case. If you want 100% SUPER ACCURATE REALISM, then you really shouldn't look anywhere towards something with heavy amounts of articulation. It'd be like me tearing a regular Ultra vinyl a new one because WHY CAN'T I MAKE HIM DO SILLY POSE!? THIS TOY DISASTER. IT DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE SUIT. IT BAD TOY.

That's just it. I buy MonsterArts for the articulation and great sculpts. Sometimes you have to sacrifice screen accuracy for joints, that is just the way it is. I love my stuff to be as accurate as their on screen/page counterpart, but sometimes there are little things that have to be altered. It is the same reason why I'm not worried about the awkward shoulders some of the Sentai Figuarts have.

If I buy a statue, I'm not going to say, "Man, this statue sucks because I cannot display him in various poses," because I did not buy the statue for articulation. Same goes for the Figuart Zero stuff. I did not buy those for different display options.

And like all toy lines of this sort, it is a learning curve. Companies like to try new things, sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I would rather Bandai tested something out and failed, than to just release every Godzilla with the same set up. It would be boring as we would pretty much be buying the same toy over, just with cosmetic alterations. Yes, there are some things on 64 I don't think succeeded, but I can see what Bandai was going for.

That looks great.
Side note: didn't the prototype have articulated fingers?
