Human/Alien characters you'd like to see again?

Godzilla movies have gotten a lot of flack over the years for having flat characters and focusing on only the monster fights. I think this is a lot of bunk. This series is rich with human and alien characters that I'd like to see make a return. Did anyone expect the Xilian controller and the xilians to come back? As bad as GFW was at times, I feel the xilians were a highlight of that film so anyway here is my list.
1.Nanbara (GvsMG 74)
Nanbara is like a Japanese James Bond.As an interpol agent with a plan I was disappointed when he wasn't in Terror of Mechagodzilla. He's cool, shadowy, has badass skills. He has the iconic black trench coat and glasses. I feel like Nanbara could make an awesome recurring side character in a new series. I'd hope he wouldn't be the main character in a movie. I think he works best as a character that pops in an out of the story as he pleases.

2.Saradian Agent (GvsBiollante)
I feel like the Saradian agent is the antithesis of Nanbara. He makes a great villain. With giant monsters on the loose. Aliens attacking. There is a treasure trove of information that unscrupulous people would be interested in. I'd actually like to see the Saradian agent and Nanbara face off against each other.

3. Katagiri (g2k)
Katagiri is the evil bureaucrat from G2k. He used to be a partner with Shinoda and cared about science and research but now he cares only about killing Godzilla to further his career. He is very anime-esque and that's why I like him. Building my own fanfic in my head, I'd bring back CCI and have Katagiri be a shadowy bureaucrat working in cahoots with the Saradian Agent to collect industrial espionage.

4. Kuronuma (G vs MG 74)
A lot of people probably think the Xilian controller is the best alien commander. I heartily disagree. Kuronuma had class. He was always smoking cigars and drinking what I like to imagine was a fine bourbon. He was ruthless. I always wanted to see a movie where two alien races were going to war against each other and Earth happens to get caught in the middle. Kuronuma and the Simians vs the Xilians. King Ghidorah against Mechagodzilla with the Earth kaiju caught in the middle? Hell yes that sounds like fun!

5. Yoshimura the Thief (godzilla vs The Sea Monster)
He's technically a bad guy as he is a bank robber but he winds up being a thief with the heart of gold as he helps the cast aways defeat the Red Bamboo and stop the Red Bamboo from making Nuclear Weapons. Speaking of the Red Bamboo, I'd like to see them make a return as well.

None. The actors are what made these characters so great for me. Seeing their character return would do very little for me on its own.

i thought about this, wrote up a response and deleted it and then thought about it some more.

I think the window has closed for most human characters, maybe in a different format, like a comic or book, where the era and previous continuity are maintained, it would work. It would make sense to me that the alien races would continue to try invasion techniques so I think reintroducing them might be a bit more organic story wise (unless of course it was a race whose home world was already destroyed). Originally i wrote "Red Bamboo" but i think that fits more within the realm of a Bond type world.. so its hard for me to picture working them in to a modern Godzilla story.

I always wanted the Red Bamboo to have more development. Like maybe they are a splinter faction forced out from Selgina from Ghidrah The Three Headed Monster. We already know that country has had assassination attempts on its leadership. Let's imagine the Red Bamboo attempted a failed coups but was forced out and were exiled to some random south pacific islands. There they spend their time trying to regroup and build up their military using slave labor/nukes/etc. They are bankrolled by other countries in the area that stand to profit from the Red Bamboo taking over Selgina (or whatever fictional country they were exiled from)

i liked the idea of Red Bamboo as just evil corporate opportunists without a national affiliation. Maybe what we saw in Sea Monster was just a branch of a bigger organization, but i would expect the majority of their operations were on the island.

I would have loved to see more movies featuring Mark Jackson from Dogora, as played by the one and only Robert Dunham. He struck this balance between American swagger and Japanese humility that's a joy to watch. Someone pour the man another cup of coarse Japanese tea and pass the soy beans.

I'd like to see another take on the Godzilla Prediction Network from Godzilla 2000. In a world where kaiju exist, government bureaus would likely make an effort to issue timely warnings of monster attacks to citizens just as they do for tornadoes and hurricanes today, but what if some monsters were harder to predict or track? What if a monster knocked out a power grid or cell phone towers and left people in more remote, rural areas in the dark? I see a group of independent, self-funded monster trackers acting to try and help the people in their communities get out of harm's way before it's too late. I think there's a lot of story potential there.

I'd like to see the GPN back as well. At some point you have to stop fighting the monsters and start treating them as what they are, a natural disaster. You can't bomb a hurricane, but you can track it, estimate its future path and evacuate the necessary areas. Just imagine teams of scientists having the place GPS trackers on giant kaiju as well as learning what encourages their migration patterns. Godzilla appears to be headed on a trajectory towards a nuclear power facility, however it over laps the path of Anguirus's seasonal whale hunting grounds. What are the odds that they cross paths and enter populated civilian areas?

Ogata,
he's the only one from the original who NEVER got to reprise his role. I'm excluding dr Yamane's (refeatured in GRA's) adopted son Shichiki? because his kids at least tell us what happened to him (GvD). Emiko (GvD) and even Steve Martin (G85) if you want to consider KoTM also got to reprise their roles. The actor's been in many Toho films since. Maybe he'll finally get to tell us what happened to him in the timeline of the new film.

Yuki,
as much as people hate GvSG, this guy and his antics were the highlight of the human action in the film. A real tough guy.

Commander Kuroki,
the young JSDF leader from GvBiollante. Had a ton of potential, though he was rather Sam Eagle like, kind of reminded me of my older brother. I'd have liked to see how he turned out. Then again he was featured in many of the comics for the hesei films. Who is the Super X 3 Pilot in GvDestroyah? ahh just looked it up, it was him http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_X . still I feel like by this point he should have been running the show, good thing for him he didnt die.

well the character she was based on...and the corn eating hippie...yeah as said above Gigan had an entertaining cast.

Nick Adams RIP was great in this film. "You stinkin rats!!!!" I should start yelling that when I lose at craps at the casino. Also kind of curious what became of Tetsui and his inventions, did he impress Oni san enough to marry his sister?

The Girl from Mothra's Island in GvSea Monster. Hot. The doctor's daughter from SoG as well. Curious what happened to her and the Solgell Spinach reporter. They had chemistry. Would've been interesting to see them study Minya on Monster Island.

The cast of KKvG from the coin flipping to the corn aching to tarzan that movie's cast is entertaining in either format.

Aliens well we saw the Xillians again and their old commander in GFW (well technically a new role) but if Showa could continue, that open ended escape into the future line piqued my curiosity.

Either of the commanders from the Black Hole.

Emi Kano. Badass Futurian. Would have liked to have seen what the future looks like besides just the bottom of the ocean, but I suppose the budget couldn't justify it. Thats it for now.

After doing research the character's real name is Shosaku Takasugi. He was played by actor Minoru Takashima. However I have been unable to verify if he is alive or dead.
