That's why I don't understand these fans who are bellyaching that the 1st offical trailer wasn't just the Oppenheimer treaser. Really people? Ben's right; no one outside of a handfull of "average" moviegoers would have ANY idea who the guy talking is, why the sound is so hissy and its significance with regards to classic Godzilla.

Why are there fans that insist that Godzilla should have rock/metal music put to every incarnation possible? The remix wasn't too bad until the power chords started blaring. Bleagh... Completely destroys the mood.

Funniest reaction I've witnessed so far:

I've got a friend who very much dislikes Godzilla (I'm sure we all know one person like this), to the point where I can't bring it up without a sarcastic comment or rolling eyes. Well, yesterday while I was browsing Fark I pointed out that there was a link to the new trailer, which I figured he had not seen. He decided to watch it, clicking on the link while saying: "Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be really stupid?"

Yeah, he had nothing snarky to say afterward.
