My guess is Ken Watanabe's character is just named after Serizawa as an homage, like how Kumi Mizuno's character in Final Wars was named Commander Namikawa.

I wonder if Godzilla has been appearing sporadically for years since 1954 but always in unpopulated, remote areas and always covered up. Now the appearance of the M.U.T.O.s (maybe engineered from Godzilla genetic material) draws him out of his solitary behavior.

Just shared it on facebook and a second video came up that showed a clip of the trailer! Nothing special, just lots of static, then you see one of the soldiers leaping out of a plane, static then a faint voice "nothing we ever seen before"

Anyone else see it?
