Correct. This movie has dropped down my list as I got older. Fun to watch as a little kid, but now, eh. I see the point(s) they were trying to make though at the time when they filmed this movie though. So I guess it served it's purpose. Any Gabera fans out there though?

G's Revenge is somehow charming for me despite all the stock footage. I even hate Minya, but the characters were always likable for me as a kid. I confess I haven't watched in ages, tho.

Also, I've never noticed so many FX gaffes... You seem to point them out. Maybe I just never paid attention.

GMK!

Correct. I have mixed feelings about GMK. Kaneko did a good job, but I was dissapointed in Baragon, an all too powerful Godzilla, and i'm not a big fan of this King Ghidorah suit. Great camera angles of Godzilla though. Which I always love.

Not my (Father's) Baragon. No glowing horn, no fire breath, just all around weak.

I have to think that if they made the original scripted film and didnt throw Mothra and King Ghidorah in for ratings, with 2 other beamless kaiju in Angilas and Varan they wouldve given Baragon back his old flame and lit horn.
Also King Ghidorah was made weaker to accommodate this stronger Godzilla, but they harped on the fact that he was still 10,000 years premature or something to explain that if he were full grown it might be more of the fight we're accustomed too. While I preferred Kaneko's Gamera films I thought it was the highlight of the Mire Films, and had the original script been retained along with Kaneko's usual SPFX guy (and a timeline closer to what he had to film the G Trilogy films) we'd have a real masterpiece on our hands.

am I the only one who thinks it's weird they bothered to name Baragon after Godzilla has destroyed him? They're like "we'll call the red monster Baragon." and it's like: who cares? He's dead.

That's correct. I love Godzilla vs. Biollante. Lots of great shots of Godzilla, some very good military vs. Godzilla scenes, and my favorite G suit again.
