I love me some over-sized dorsals (Miregoji is my favorite Millenium design), but I don't see anything wrong with Legengoji's spines. At least in lone shot of him we've seen, nothing stood out as "off" to me. Regardless I think Mire-sized spines would be a bit much for Legengoji. They are purely an aesthetic flourish, and I don't think Legengoji befits a design element added "just for the heck of it." I think every aspect of his design has been considered in terms of real-world practicality so it looks like he's a product of evolution, not a designer's studio.
As far as the second teaser goes, after sitting on it I think it's just as effective as the Oppenheimer one, but in a slightly different way. Every image within it just builds up this feeling of doom. When I see Cranston cover his mouth in shock, I don't see a cliche character reaction, I see a convincing emotion, and I'm wondering what he's horrified by. And so will audiences, if future trailers echo this. Consider too that not everybody will know of or recognize Oppenheimer's words and his voice, and might just be confused by his sound bit. The second teaser is more accessible. And it's gripping.
Unless you just aren't moved by human emotion. :\
