Your first mistake is reading people's video blogs. Most people are terrible at expressing themselves in person, and in front of a video camera (myself included) So Vlogs are a waste of time for me. Your second mistake is caring about stupid people's opinion. I've given up caring how entitled this Godzilla fan base is. As far as I am concerned, there is me who will always love Godzilla news no matter what. (unless Sony in a mad dash for money reacquires the rights and makes GINO2). Nothing is ever going to take away my love of Godzilla. Then there is the Monster Zero forum which even though it has its warts, and doesn't have the traffic of other G-sites, I still consider to be the best and most level headed websites there is. Then there is everyone else. If someone wants to engaged in a fun, spirited discussion then awesome! If they want to whine and complain; then thats their choice but in my opinion, to hell with them. They are inconsequential, background noise, static over the airwaves as far as I am concerned.

*edit* I forgot to hit the quote button because I fail at foruming. If its not obvious this post was directed at the fail video posted earlier.

We may not know EXACTLY how Godzilla will look yet, but between everything we've seen...I suspect we have a pretty clear idea more or less at this stage.

^^ Yeah, it seems Bearzilla was the design used in this initial pitch.

Don't look at me. I never liked the purple spines or the orange atomic breath on the '99/'00 Godzillas, and I'm glad they toned down the huge spines for the GxMG/SOS suits.

Somebody asked over on Toho Kingdom what was the date that the original youtube video was posted on, it was September 10th, I recall it since I was mightily surprised it'd been up there for so long. Anyway, after looking around a bit I came across this and posted it over there: "Universal Newsreel, Vol. 18, No. 432. Release date, 09/10/1945." http://collections.ushmm.org/search/catalog/fv2061

With the video originally being called "Fat Man" and the user calling themselves "Akira Takarada" I thought this was also an added interesting wrinkle. Most likely means absolutely nothing though.

September 10th is also the day when the new picture of Godzilla's face hit the web, if I'm not mistaken. Hell of a coincidence, but I'm really reluctant to think it's more than that. Also, are we sure that atomic bomb video's release date is really September 10th? Or could it be October 9th? I browsed around the site for a few minutes for clarification, but I haven't found something else to compare it with.

EDIT: Never mind, I think the date actually is September 10th. Found another video from that site for reference, and that one has the mm/dd/yyyy format.

If the face we have seen is accurate I like it(refuse to accept Gino) and I want to see him bite something and then do one hell of a death shake. Just imagine seeing Godzilla bite down on one of those crab monsters at the airport and then do that shake sending legs flying.

The face also looks like it should have a good array of expressions and I would hope that they do a shot of him being attacked and being non-pulsed by it. It would add to his aura of power and be a quick homage back to the other films where he is less expressive.
"You ever get the urge? It begins with looking down from 50 stories up, thinking about the meaninglessness of life, listening to the dark voices deep inside you, and you think, 'Should I?... Should I?... Should I push someone off?'"

My main concern about the design is that, I don't want the fact that it's big (really really big), to be an excuse for Special Effects Laziness. As was seen in the Heisei series, when Godzilla was made larger.
