touche. But looking back at it now and looking at something modern that has 1000% more realism in it, might make him scarier. Not likely though. Imagination is the best tool for that anyways.

The first thing I thought after viewing the trailer was ..."damn, that's a lot of dead bodies" .

Great trailer. Let's not start the hyperbole yet though. "First time Godzilla's ever been scary" and such might be stretching things just a tad.

This film looks like it's going to rock our socks off, but that doesn't negate the classic films we all love.

I doubt anyone is really thinking that this new film will negate the old films we know and love. If anything this film will just solidify our reasons for being Godzilla fans in the first place. If everything works out well this film will do favours for the Godzilla franchise similar to what the Nolan Batman films did for the Batman franchise. I'm just excited about the prospect of a Godzilla film that may just be everything we could have hoped for. This was the Hollywood blockbuster most people were expecting and wanting before Roland Emmerich's version came out....

That teaser really was incredible. WB should just give it up.

So does anybody mind pm'ing me a capture if anybody has it? I doubt this thing will stay up long enough to be streamed by yours truly. Honestly though, from the screen caps alone this thing looks crazy awesome!

The conversation has moved on from it, but I LOVE that shot of the bodies near the train. I noticed that on first viewing and its part of what made me dig the teaser so much. I love when we get to really see the results of the rampage.

Just watched it. I think i'm going to cry. Edwards wasn't kidding when he said that he was going for realism in this movie. And I dig the roar. No complaints here my friends. I'll watch this until Legendary gives us the official trailer.

Love the trailer and I can't wait for that roar to rattle my chair in the theater.

There's deff indications in the trailer that Godzilla retains his classic flame breath. The enemy kaiju monster's hide is riddled with burns and that giant hole in the building...look at it's edges...they're black, burnt.

That teaser was everything I hoped it would be. It was pretty eerie, which was complimented by the music. The destruction and the many dead bodies were morbid, and unsettling.

But it was all very subtle.

The "insect" monster's corpse didnt look insect-like, but i can see how that mistake would be made if you only saw it once at the event. The skin was smooth, and the claws looked reptilian. Perhaps a worm-like lizard monster?

And of course, Godzilla. Damn, dude. You couldnt see much, but you got that feeling that this is a creature you do not F*** with. And that roar! Man, it may not be "earth-shattering," but that's a roar you remember!

Cannot wait. So hyped now.

My only lingering questions are in regards to this:
Image
Do we think this is actually in the film?

Remember, this is proof-of-concept footage. Nothing in this was "finalized" stuff. Does this thing even appear in the movie itself? If so, what does it REALLY look like? That's a lot of legs...maybe there's even more than one thing in there...

That's the next thing I want to know. I'm more than satisfied with Godzilla himself...now I'm ravenously curious about the other kaiju.
