Godzilla (2014) Part Three (NON-SPOILER DISCUSSION)

Legendary's lack of giving us fans anything related to this movie is getting really annoying. As I mentioned on another website, they're doing everything they can to keep Godzilla and anything associated with the movie under wraps until THEY want to reveal it.

I am really not trying to sound like a jerk that is above the conversation but I think all the pro/con arguments about gills are silly. Whether or not they are gills is irelevant because they are such a minor throw away feature. This entire argument is silly. I mean we're arguing about GILLS! At any point in your life did you think you'd be having an online argument with other Godzilla fans about gills? Its hilarious and should be a joke on a TV show like the Big Bang Theory.

It's easy to have a blasé attitude about gills if you think they are just a 'minor feature' but for some people, including myself, they are not just a minor detail. They mark a departure from previous origins of the monster, and they are being justified because of 'realism,' and 'believability.'

This thing about gills seems about as moot.

Why is there something like 8 pages of people trying to convince others that their opinion is wrong?

It might have gills, yes, that could be a deal breaker to some. Just as some people still hate a green Godzilla with purple spikes to this day. If it's not a deal breaker to you then great, you have a different interpretation of what Godzilla is then some other people. I don't see why it's infuriating that some people don't like the design.

For me, I draw the line at high heels. If Godzilla wears high heels it's just ruined for me. Always imagined him as more of a pumps type of guy (I think they're different things).

I've always thought of Godzilla as some sort of gypsy king. Just travels around, speaking his own weird little language, breaking stuff, fighting and just causing trouble for the civilized folk. Essentially, just think of Brad Pitt in Snatch. That's how Godzilla should look
