The DVD is R3 BTW just in case anyone doesn't have their player region hacked.

I just watched it and thought it was really good. It's not a crazy, epic scifi extravaganza, but just a buddy movie about a down and out actor in a show that is a cross between Kamen Rider and Ultraman. All the toku stuff; the sets and monster suits, etc are fun. The comedy, as there are a few very funny situations, work well and the drama is finely tuned to be full of pathos without being dreary.
