The Christmas Special will be Matt Smith's last.

Sorry to see him go, but he'll have been the Doctor for 4 years by that point and that seems to be the optimal amount of time. Sure the new guy will be brilliant. Hopefully Matt Smith will take care of himself and won't age much for the 60th anniversary special.

Perhaps (Tennant was 4 seasons though, its just that the fourth were specials), but it just seems out he announced that the Xmas speciall will be his last. Don't the others usually announce they are out well over a season in advance?
