Destroyer is the worst in terms of failed plot, in my opinion. Bonus points because it so haphazardly skewers its lip service to the 1954 film. And the effects are about as awful as Spacegodzilla's between the skating crabs, Bandai crabs, fly Destroyer, and lackluster Haneda set, among other instances. And I'd be remiss to omit the wonderful Hong Kong matte work. Spacegodzilla is a hair worse but I'd say it's pretty par for the course on the whole.

The moment between Yoshio Tsuchiya and Godzilla at the end of the film is too good to write this one off. Even then, it's gleefully retarded.

Gotcha, just wanted to verify!

While RETURN OF GODZILLA is my personal favorite, BIOLLANTE is right up there with it. 80's Godzilla was tits..I wish we had gotten more of it. Less drunken Kawakita FX work, and the more ambitious, competent Kawakita, would have been nice to see.
