For those of you who've only seen Biollante on VHS this disc will be a revelation, but in all honesty this blu-ray didn't look much different to me than the Toho DVD. Definitely not a blu-ray you'll put on to show off your system. I'm sure Toho is mostly to blame with their slip-shod authoring work. Not terrible by any means, but the Mill Creek Heisei Gamera blu-rays blow this away.
And, yeah, I agree with that Dread Central reviewer: Biollante's music score is pretty bad.

I have amazon prime, pre-ordered back in october and they still cant give me an estimate. I'll either cancel and pick it up at my local best buy, or save it as a present for someone in patents. biollante's story is vaguely reminiscent of the oil eating bacteria referenced so famous from the chakrabarty case: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_v._Chakrabarty

Man mother F you guys! That main title track in Final Wars is awesome! Gets my hyped every time. Really the soundtrack as a whole isn't that bad - I'm surprised so many people hate it. I like that it's so different.
