To commemorate the late Akira Ifukube's 98th birthday, his very first film score (for Senkichi Taniguchi's Snow Trail) has been uploaded in its entirety to Ifukube offers a very strong first outing, giving powerful (and, at appropriate moments, restrained) musical life to the harrowing tale of crime, conscience, and humanity. Members here will likely recognize music that would go on to be adapted for use in films like Rodan, King Kong Escapes, and Godzilla, among others.
