Watched Dracula A.D. 1972 for the first time in...forever. It's as bad as I remember it being. Ugh.

Batman Returns

Might be my favorite Batman film actually. Great write up of it here:

I've not seen Batman Returns from start to finish in a long time, despite buying it on dvd not too long ago. I remember really loving it as a kid.

I like Batman Returns as a Universal monster film...not so much as a Batman film.

There's nothing stupid about rocket launching penguins! That's just an amazing idea! :D

Galaxy Express 999

I'm liking the Leiji Matsumoto stuff I've been getting into, very different from most modern anime I'm used to. From what I've seen the laws of logic will be violated as long as it makes melodramatic sense. That's the key word: melodrama. It's straightforward melodrama in the most outrageous fantasy settings.

Some Like it Hot

Great movie. Loved director Billy Wilder for some years now, but some how avoided seeing his most famous film until today! Quite risque for the time, in subject matter and... err, in that dress Marilyn wears.

Have to return this Blu-Ray, though; movie is fine but the extras are all defective!

Saw Chronicle at the cheap theater, which was pretty good!
Though I kinda wish they had better seating arrangements cause if you sit anywhere beyond the middle of the theater, you will have to bend your neck back to see it. It seems that they could lower the screen about 10'.

Then I got home & watched both Ghostbusters movies just for fun.
Though there was at least 2 scenes I don't remember ever noticing before when watching the movies.

Maybe it was just me, but in the 2nd movie it kinda seemed that both Bill Murrey & Sigorney Weaver did not really want to be there, since they are missing in several key parts.
