Well my prize arrived today and I am glad to have it. It is what I have always wanted in a Mechagodzilla Heisei figure. I guess I will do a mini-review on it. Do a Pros, and then do a Cons.
Pros
Good feeling when being held and positioned on a flat or unlevel surface. The metal in the feet really help keep it stable. I have no real problems with it staying level and it doesn't have any tendency to loose balance. I really dig the paint and attention to sculpt detail. I like the accessories with the base stand and additional hands plus Plasma Grenade swap part.
Cons
The only thing I can say that I have any dislike about is that I would want really firm hip joints. The joints are fine on my figure, but I feel it needed something really robust for attaching the leg to the hip section. It seems to be based on a general Ultra-Act style joint. I would also like to have the bending knee to have a solid feel. Something like in the Revoltech joint type way, but that may mean messing with some kind of patent by Kaiyodo. I would have liked to have had a head that could raise and look upwards on its own by manual adjustment and not head swap. Otherwise I have no other dislike.
Overall
This is a pretty nice figure. I suppose what really would make it rocket through the roof if it was all metal. Then you can feel you have a miniature Mechagodzilla.
