I'm starting to find "BaneGate" hilarious. All this hysteria over something that we A. Haven't heard the final mix of and B. We haven't seen in its proper context.
I remember there was a similar outcry when the pics of the Joker were released and only his face was white. Nerds started flipping their sh*t because the Joker didn't have white skin and people were trying to think of theories about how his skin might actually be white and maybe he's wearing flesh colored makeup over his white skin. People were PISSED about this change. Then the movie came out. And guess what? It didn't matter. Made no difference in terms of the character. I was one of those raging nerds that learned a valuable lesson from that. And even if the final sound mix isn't a 100% improvement, I'm sure once we get used to Bane's voice after his first scene or two, we won't even notice that there is anything weird about it to begin with and there won't be a problem.
Quentin Tarantino said a long time ago that he'd love to adapt a superhero comic, but he couldn't just because he couldn't deal with the venom of hardcore fans. This is probably why Nolan doesn't go to Comic Con. Nerds are the most presumptuous, overly dramatic people on the internet. I know I wouldn't be able to deal with it.
