oh sachiel man...loved the pics and the review! The Revoltechs seem to cost more even for the small size they can be at times, so I guess per size/scale and price it about matches on the same set-up comparison with MonsterArts size/scale and price. It may boil down to the costs of doing articulation and making more acurate scuplts. Just that MonsterArts is larger than Revoltech so the costs will be higher. Which made me think that Little Gojira and Aggragate Destoroyah will cost about the same as Revoltechs in the 30 something dollar range.

I like you 1/700 fleet ship comparisons. You know I had asked at Hobby Link before about what military models would be in line with regular Bandais and they told me 1/350. Yet I think that guy was wrong after seeing your pics. The 1/700 range is definitely more movie accurate and looks better too for human size to monster height comparisons.

Your pics are fantastic, Sachiel. I knew someone could do greater justice to the figure than I could with general pics. You did a nice job seeming to capture the scale compared to ships too! The subs look like they're just the right scale to get grabbed by Godzilla underwater.

My second Godzilla had actually arrived at the post office on Wednesday, so if I had waited on AmiAmi, it would have only taken two more days! The eyes on this one are definitely worse than the Amazon Godzilla, but they're not crooked either. It's... interesting. I'm gonna take pics of it with my Godzilla later. If mail was reliable enough this time of year, I'd even propose trading heads with you.

speaking of military vehicles, the new Mechagodzilla continues to be impressive.

They really thought of articulation on this figure.

The head swivels around just like in the movie where Godzilla was coming into the city, and Mechagodzilla had just "downed" Fire Rodan. I can hear the commander now saying "Quick turn us around!!!"

Here is the blog these came from. It shows a very good range of movement. By far the best MG blog I have seen so far. It shows how the back comes off, how the tail is removed, that the foot actually moves in the toe section for further balance. There are other movements such as bending forward and tilting the body back and an assortment of leg movements.

Apparently, their reasoning for choosing the Heisei Godzilla design is because a lot of their current market were kids during the time of the Heisei series. Eh, can't argue with that...

inb4 MOAR SHOWA MONSTERS.

I'm willing to bet the first Showa Monsterarts we'll get would be Mechagodzilla.

That Mecha-Godzilla does look really nice and, to be honest, is the only one I really would like to get, just so I could have a die-cast version of every Mecha-G. Now if only the Garuda were included and not an exclusive....
