MST3K 205: Rocket Attack USA

Postby jellydonut25 » Sun May 22, 2011 12:35 pm

Have we abandoned our MST3K viewings already?

This episode is pretty solid. It's got some important moments for the series (first stinger!!) but the movie itself is quite dull.

It starts with a BANG "remember guys this is filmed in color but everything in Russia is gray" and then clips along with stuff that is either just OK or really hilarious ("Must be a stealth rocket").

All in all a pretty good season 2 episode.

Too bad it gets marred by Servo's "haircut"
Gills.

Ah, the stingers.

Most of the time they're just a comforting sign-off, akin to "That's All Folks," but when they get the right moment it can be just divine.

I notice Kevin laughs at his own jokes and is doing a voice (rather than just using his natural voice) all the way into the begining of season 3.
