Wow.

Just watched this thing earlier today. What a clusterfudge of absolute insanity. Can anyone give me some background on this film? August? I was very shocked to see that one monster (name?) get peeled like an orange. Crazy crap.

It's not responsible for the debacle. Chiayo had already released a number of the Ultra Series to television, through Tsuburaya Productions, which were incredible hits in Thailand. So, they sought permission to make an Ultraman movie expressly for the Thai market. The debacle, surrounds a document from this period, in which the then-president of Tsuburaya Productions, Noboru Tsuburaya allegedly sold off the rights to Ultraman through Ultraman Taro to Sampote Sanguenchai, the head of Chiayo, for a large sum of money — because Tsuburaya Productions was in dire straits. This document, which is the crux of the debacle, has since been proven a forgery. But, Chiayo refuses to go away.

As for the movie? It's crap on a cracker. A piss cracker.
