There would be no time travel in my wished for remake of GvsKG.

First of all, it doesn't need it.

Secondly, it doesn't work and it's confusing.

I just want the heavyweight championship fight that would be Godzilla battling his greatest opponent, but done with a major studio budget, high tech, breathtaking effects and a Showa-like spectacle. It would be bright and colorful, evocative of the age of Honda and Tsuburaya. At first I saw this as a dark, apocalyptic story. But then, it seemed to me that a movie done on a great scale, but unfolding in full daylight would be more satisfying. It wouldn't have to be all Saturday afternoon fun, though; it would have its darker moments, with horrifying nighttime sequences, with shots of the massive outlines of titular kaiju silhouetted against the night sky.

While the use of King Ghidorah most likely will happen in the LP series(if it goes beyond 1 film), I think the first films "bad guy" is going to end up being Hedorah. With Banno being involved.. I just have this feeling.

Also, I think Hedorah makes a perfect "American" giant monster... think of the The Blob films. You can have scenes with Hedorahs "sludge" running down streets etc.

I would love for a second monster besides Godzilla as well. A weak monster for Godzilla to fight in the very beginning of the film. I think Anguirus would fit this perfectly.
