I actually got a set of those several years back knowing they were boots, just to contrast with my real ones. I wish they were still coming out with HG sets, there's still a few figs they never got around to making...

There were 3 Gamera HGs that were supposedly official Bandais (described as a 2002 World Hobby Festival (WHF) exclusive set) but were painted so horribly that I assume they were bootlegs but I don't know for sure:

Gamera HG2 "reissue"
Space Gayos HG2 "reissue"
Super Gyaos HG1 "reissue"

The Super Gyaos was a bright purple. The Gamera had huge white "Orphan Annie" eyes without any iris. I don't remember what was weird about the Space Gyaos.

I could only find 1 picture and it's very small:

NEVER heard of a Future Boom bootleg set. Certainly not a boot of the unique Destoroyah mold. The inclusion of the insert in the picture is also a very good sign pointing to legitimacy.

Are you going to keep doing this for every Godzilla purchase you make from now on? At some point you need to gain your own familiarity with the tricks of bootleg sellers, or notice the hints that point to legitimate product. At least accept that not every toy release is bootlegged. You got burnt once, by the most common of the handful of examples among Godzilla toys. Boots don't lurk around every corner.
