yes, the Nazis weren't even close to being socialists, which is why Hitler went to war against Russia (one of the reasons, anyway). it's PC now for some commentators to try to make socialism and fascism the same thing.

The comments on that site seem to infer that the director confirmed the presence of Nazis in the film but I don't know where they got that from.

That's right-The Red Skull wasn't a Super Soldier( though Der Fuehrer eventually DID get his answer to Cap in the person of Master Man,not to mention a Wonder Woman-type in Warrior Woman...)

I have to tell you that information form an inside source said that the reason Marvel dropped the Nazi references is simply for ratings. Based on what they have planned, it was mentioned that pushing the Nazi theme might take them out of the rating they are going for.

That might seem lame to many a CA fan's eyes, but when I mentioned that Indiana Jones had no issues, they said it was because at that time the actual movie couldn't be pushed from a PG to an R rating, and the actual movie was a bit more "tame." If they were to take the same approach, it would take CA to a higher rating which they do not want.

Yeah, what MFW said. Hellboy was full of Nazi stuff and it didn't change the rating.
