Amazon.com

This has got to be my favorite e-tailer especially when combined with Amazon Prime and an Amzon.com visa which gets you 3x the reward points on every dollar spent at Amazon.com and at 2500 points you get a $25 Amazon.com gift card.

One thing the really irks me is over the past few years I've noticed they've been flip floppy with prices on certain items.

Take for example the An American Werewolf in London BD normally they have it for $9.99 but last time I checked it was $11.99 sure not a huge price difference but still. Again Piranha on BD they normally have it for $19.99 but as of late it's been $21.49 again not a huge price difference.

The thing that has me pissed off the most about this price flip flopping is their Doctor Who complete series, last time I checke a week ago the prices where $43.99 or something like that. Last night when I check Series 1 jumped up to $66.49 which really made me mad, the other three though only had a $1.50 price hike.

Why does Amazon do this? Has anyone else noticed this? It's really discouraging especially when I was going to order all four series this upcoming week and I was hoping to order them all from Amazon.com so I could get those 3x the rewards.

Still despite the flip flopping Amazon remains my choice for buying merchandise.

I don't know about the prices jumping around. I know if you pre-order something, you're guaranteed whatever the lowest price it goes to before shipping.

And I love Prime. It can pay for itself in one or two orders.

I bought a dog kennel on amazon and it was available for amazon prime. That thing weighs 80 pounds or more and I had free shipping on it.

Also, living in California, if I order something with the Prime "two day shipping" in the afternoon and it ships from the Nevada warehouse, I'll have it the next morning. 12-14 hour turnaround is not shabby. Though once getting used to that, waiting for orders from other countries or even worse domestic media mail, seems like an eternity.

Does the free shipping with Amazon Prime apply to purchases from third-party sellers?
