I watched a couple on DVD:

The Wolfman (2010) - I enjoyed the theatrical version when it first came out. The director's cut fleshes out more of the backstory. Although I liked the movie in general, I really didn't like Sir John Talbot's characterization (Anthony Hopkins). He's a despicable person in this version. I preferred the tragic aspects of John Talbot in the original (played by Claude Rains) to this.

Jennifer's Body - A high school teen is turned into a succubus by a rock band. Entertaining.

The Reader - so, remember when I saw "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" and mentioned that I wanted to like it because it takes the point of view of a german at a Holocaust camp???? well, this movie basically asserts that being illiterate is far more shameful than running a death camp and murdering people...that's not really ok...

[rec] - i dont know if it was suuposed to be like this or if i watched a really crappy boot or something, but i couldn't see a THING...like many people have said though, Quarantine is almost exactly the same movie so if you've seen that, you've seen enough

Red Dragon - infinitely better than Hannibal, but not as good as Silence of the Lambs (obviously)
