Cinema Insomnia did a release a couple years ago. I'm guessing it has nothing to do with Shout Factory and is completely unlicensed.

Wow, lots of whining. Sorry guys, I think this is a bit much. I honestly don't give a rat's patootie how these are released as long as they ARE released in the first place. So we get a few individual releases and then a few double features? Big deal. At least we're getting them. Perhaps the first DVD didn't sell well and they've decided to get these out a little quicker instead of doing 8 films in 16 months. Who knows. But I think we need to be thankful we're getting these obscure, niche, cult, genre titles in the middle of a crippling recession.

Come on, guys. I think complaining something is lazy when you have no idea why they're doing it this way is incredibly silly. Maybe this is an economic decision like jellydonut just said? Maybe it's either this way or nothing at all. Lazy? Come on.

I agree it could have been better by having them as single releases. But I don't believe double features are that horrible. And it could have been a LOT worse. At least they're paired correctly (Gyaos/Viras and Guiron/Jiger). They could have mixed them up, which would be a nightmare for anyone who likes to display their films in chronological order.

Looking forward to buying this. Wish I could have gotten it sooner, but cash is tight.

As far as the double-feature debate, what is the big deal? Hell, there was less controversy about CM's WotG/Rodan release, and those films aren't even sequels. At least these can be properly, consecutively ordered on a DVD shelf.

As long as the video quality and special features aren't suffering as a result of this, I really don't see the problem...

I'm really looking forward to Zigra being released...I've only ever seen the MST3K-ified version, so it'll be nice to listen to it without the "commentary'

I am just happy to be able to buy decent releases of any of these movies as I have not seen half of them before and the other half only partially besides Gamera and Gyoas which I had US versions of already.
