awesome. I have more bandais than Marmits but I don't take offense to that statement. I started collecting in 1990, and had no interest in the high-end collector's vinyl until the monster heaven line appeared. And after all, the further back you go towards the origins of godzilla collectibles, the more and more "toy-like" they become...right up to the bullmark tin toys with some having packaging variants that explicitly show little kids operating them in color photos.

It's just a matter of taste. I love both Bandai and the high end vinyl i have (marmit/marusan/gigabrain/pilot ace) for different reasons.

Was going through my photobucket account and found these photos I took a whiles back after buying an articulated Ultraman(with sound effects!). They made me chuckle, especially the last photo because it looks like Godzilla is hamming it up, so I thought I'd share. :)

Finally finished rearranging/reorganizing/cleaning my collection. Had to put a bit in storage to make room for all the new stuff I got on my trip to Japan and for Christmas.

Grimlock's still wearing the apron in robot mode, LOL.

Beautiful set of Transformers, Figuarts, Rangers and Sentai mecha, but you need some kaiju in there!

Mah Room. My Kaiju are in my room. And most of them are Bandai Toho Kaiju, Ultra Kaiju stuff. Some of them came from the memorial box set from 2004.

Anyway. I'll see if I can post Kaiju pics.

Goseiger is this year, so expect more stuff in my shelves.

Been on a gigantic Gamera kick lately so I figured I'd post some photos of my Gamera stuff:

There's something so aesthetically pleasing about the original Gamera monsters. There's definitely something about that cartoony rubber suit look of these monsters that I really like, sometimes moreso than many of the Toho monsters. Gyaos and Guiron are my top favorites, and I've always liked the toys of these two guys. Zigra is another great design, and I'd love to find the X-Plus figures of him and Viras.

While I like the Kaneko Gamera movies and think they're amazing films, the monsters in those movies (and the toys of them by extension) don't interest me as much as the Showa stuff. sorry Irys and Legion.

Nice Gamera figures! Just in time for the new DVDs this summer.

Do you have any idea how much a Gamera Memorial Box (the one with 6in Movie Monster Series sized figures) goes for nowadays? Or the individual monsters?

Also is the vinyl on those things (the 6inchers) soft like the more recent 6 inch figures from Bandai?
