I'm not sure exactly what I'd remove from that list aside from the Marmit figures. Maybe the Destroyah LD, the M-1 Manda, the Famicom game and some of the Trendmasters stuff. Though that last one is more of a personal preference if anything.

There's been a lot that's been released since that list was published. Enough to fill a whole 'nother volume of Sean's collectibles guide. But really, how much of it really deserves to be on a list of the greatest Godzilla collectibles of all time? There's just been so much of it vying for attention that true stand-outs are few and far between.

Items that come to mind immediately are the '05 Memorial Box (as already mentioned), the 6" Bandai Titanosaurus, the Marmit Monster Heaven Gigan, Bandai's bank account-draining R/C Mechagodzilla, maybe something from Bandai's die-cast series and maybe even Classic Media's Gojira DVD as it honestly is recognized as an important release even by those outside the fan community. If it wasn't such an underground release that flew so far under the radar I'd also be tempted to say Aoshima's gigantic Angilas figure. Failing that, I'd try to at least find room for their beautiful electronic maser cannons.

I think there needs to be more to an item's inclusion than just how cool it looks. How important and unique was it's release. What was it's impact? Will it leave some sort of legacy? Will people be talking about it 20 years from now? That said, I don't think the Bandai Museum figures have much of a place in a list like that. A lot of that is personal preference as, aside from the Yog monsters, I just don't think they're well well sculpted figures. Apparently the Japanese thought so too, as I've heard you couldn't even give these away in Japan. Seems to explain why the line was so short-lived. I'm sure there's room for something X-Plus on the list, but for the life of me I'm not sure what.

To be honest I think this topic needs a thread of it's own.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, I always enjoyed writing those articles and trying to help out other collectors whenever I could.

Unfortunately I do not have any of those Plamodels at present.
I do have some vintage pieces, but really posters/lobbies have always been my thing and I heavily pursue the few pieces I still need in that area.
