Who was the keyboardist in Micheal Jackson's band. He's the second guy from the right in this picture, with the black wig and silver spaceman suit on. This was the 80's after all:

He used to come into my Starbucks all the time back in the day. The guy's a freakin' multimillionaire, one of those people who if he wants to put out a record all he has to do is make a phone call. Anyway the topic came up of course (how could I not ask him about it,) and to hear him tell the story, he's got me convinced that Micheal was innocent.

Basically, he said that Micheal was insulated (mostly for his own protection,) however he got pretty much anything he ever wanted, which included women. He also said that living that kind of life for too long one becomes separated from reality. Really, can you imagine getting anything you could ever want, since you were a little kid? You'd grow up pretty bizarre becasue of that.

But anyway, he said he didn't believe the whole pedophilia thing. Doesn't mean it didn't happen of course, but he convinced me.

I think Michael Jackson was disturbed and definitely had mental (as well as physical) problems, but most people are calling him a pedophile simply because he paid off the family of the kid who accused him, and I find that hard to believe. To me, paying them off doesn't equate guilt; he could have done it to keep them from dragging things out in court for a long time.

Regarding his music, I'll have to admit I didn't care much for the more recent songs he put out, aside from Ghost and I'll be a happy man if I never ever hear "Black Or White" again. But in my opinion Thriller is still the greatest pop album of all time and will most likely never EVER be surpassed in that regard. (The video for "Thriller" is also still my all-time favorite music video)

And even if he never molested one child ever, his incredibly odd and creepy behavior over the course of the past 15 years made him a very, very easy target. He did a lot of questionable things that he shouldn't have done and spent years mutilating his body for reasons I'll never be able to understand.

Based on all of that it's easy for people the believe the worst about him. I'll never be entirely convinced he didn't molest anyone considering some of the spectacularly inappropriate things he did do.
