I finally saw The Incredible Hulk yesterday!

Long story short, I LOVED it! Superior to the first film in every way. This film fit the character more than the first film ever did. No artsy-fartsy crap to be found here! The film is fast-paced, the story and characters are well-concieved, the music totally fit the mood of the film, and the action is, as the title put it, incredible. The Hulk truly as a destructive Godzilla flair to him! He looks much meaner here! (Edward Norton was so much better for the role than Eric Bana, IMHO.) The Abomination was awesome as well! There's also some more tongue-in-cheek humor and some fun Hulk-related references. And the cameos (by Stan Lee, Lou Ferrigno, and veteran Canadian voice actor Paul Soles, the voice of Bruce Banner in the 60s cartoon) totally ROCK!!!

If you haven't seen this movie, please do so! This is the Hulk movie we should've gotten in the first place!

*SPOILER WARNING* (for both The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man)

It all just depends on the situation, really. With the Abomination, I thought having Hulk spare his life did a great job of reflecting his character's humanity, and it worked for the story because Abomination really didn't need to die in order for the film to have resolution. On the other hand, Iron Monger was such a potential threat in and of himself that the smartest and most immediately necessary thing for Iron Man and Pepper to do was kill him. They had no readily available means of removing Stane from the suit, so it was either he died or he was let loose on the world with that superweapon. In each case, the villains' fates were consistent with what the story called for.

I just got back from a double feature of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk at my local dollar theater. Two great tastes that taste great together! I encourage everybody to go see these films back to back if you can.

Well at least with the uber-deluxe 3-disc set there's hope we'll finally be able to see the complete film (either Norton's favored version, or something with the entire 70 mins. of additional footage edited back in), along with the truncated theatrical release.

Should be a boatload of behind the scenes extras and other goodies.

This will definitely be on my "buy" list, along with Iron Man's 2-disc offering.

so I'd be very surprised if there turns out to be any sort of extended or director's cut on there.

I just hope the third disc isn't a pointless, stupid digital copy of the movie, as has been the case with certain multi-disc releases of late, and is actually something that's worth a damn.

OK, so I'm not up to the minute on this stuff... what's a "digital" copy, versus a "normal" copy ??? After all, the film's digitally-encoded on a Digital Video Disc... so what's the deal? How can this disc be MORE digital than the other(s) ??? I am lost here...

(It sucks to be old and out of touch. *SIGH*)
