I bought the box set from Amazon JP and it cost $87.90 with shipping, supposed to be delivered on Tuesday, 5/27.
The future is big, sparkling warble of superclean and we should endevour to do our best to wash our feet by it.

Thank you,

I got my DVD set today!!! Can't wait to put it on!

EDIT: Watched bits and pieces of it. The monster fights are hilariously lame, but entertaining for a little while. Can't really make it through a lot of them in one sitting though. Really sad to see the condition of a lot of those suits. Depressing. Got a good laugh out of that silly bird/jellyfish creature from the Greenman episodes. Where can I get a figure of that guy.

The featurette (it's only 22 minutes or so) is a lot of fun. Gaira looks terrific - like he stepped right out of War of the Gargantuas. I definitely recommend this set, but only to hardcore fans of this kind of stuff who have no problem watching guys in threadbare suits punching the crap out of each other while little kids cheer them on.

Wait... so Gaira never turns giant in the featurette like the monsters in the series did? That's dumb, but it doesn't get under my skin or anything.

And what's this about the compilation DVDs not even having the entire monster fights? I just now realized that, both from the post above and the Sci Fi Japan article. It doesn't look like it even has any of the full Greenman episodes that had Toho monsters.

Oh well, at least I have the entire Gaira and Gorosaurus fights from Godman on an old bootleg VHS.

Honestly, even if they did have the entire fights, Godman and Greenman aren't worth $80. I'll just wait till my uh... "grey market" guys get it and purchase it from them.
