Awesome New Garage Kit

Postby Braxus » Sun Mar 16, 2008 3:12 am

Check this one out guys. One NASTY Kaiser Ghidorah:

1.31ft - 37,000 yen (~$370 US) - 41 piece kit

Now the question I'm guessing some of you guys are asking... "Can I get this outside of Japan?" Yes you can! Takashi Yamawaki has an excellent grasp of the English langauge and will take International Money orders.

Bought his Godzilla vs. Zilla (aka Gino) kit in past and he comes through fast. His kits are some of the best quality castings I've ever seen with insane amounts of detail. I would even say it's the closest thing I've come to a perfect casting. Couldn't find any mold lines unless you really tried to look and all the pieces fit together perfectly.

In other news... 1 USD dropped below 100 yen earlier today. :(

It has been built by one of the buds I know, Rick Cantu. Bought the kit here when Yamawaki First released it. Prepped it a little (what little there was to prep) then mailed it off to Rick to play with. Oddly, it's his first Godzilla kit!

The only negative thing I would have to say about the kit is that there is a resin pin that if it wasn't reinforced, it for sure would break off easily. Put a two-piece brass square tube for support. You can see the modifications on Godzilla's and Zilla's respectively.

Figured I'd mention these
3 Updates on the Club Tokyo main page
1) New CCP Gamera http://clubtokyo.org/articles/news/news ... &catID=Art
2) Marmit Stuff
http://clubtokyo.org/articles/news/news ... &catID=Art
3) Gigabrain
http://clubtokyo.org/articles/news/news ... &catID=Art

I'm not really excited about the new Marmit. I'm kind of hoping Marmit is going to reveal a new Orga or Megaguirus figure to go with their Mire and Gira gojis.

I am sort of interested in getting this Monster X though

Just because it's neat to see another Monster X figure, did anybody get the glow version that came out recently? The sculpt looks alright, for what it is, (and this is from the glow figure photo on CT) although the area around the shoulders looks a little odd.

Enoof of my ranting I suppose.

I think the MechaGodzilla looks pretty cool, and
for some reason I like the Kamoeba too.
It's weird looking but somehow I like the vibe it's throwing off.

Both of these are available for pre-order on super7's site, btw.
