Like Kain said it is OFFICIALLY over!

Big victory for Sony, but I can't help but feel a bit sorry for those that bought an HD-DVD player. I just called a friend of mine actually, whose parents just bought a player. He was very misinformed, because the store told his folks HD-DVD was winning the format war and that's what convinced them to buy the player. So now, they are screwed unfortunately.

Anyway, once again thank goodness we're down to one format and I have to again say that Toshiba did themselves in with their attitude. Pulling out of CES with their excuse is NOT how to do business. Well, they paid for it in the end.
