Anybody who cares about the Giant Squid needs to read this.

I go to this website Tonmo.com and every now and then try and catch up on cepholapods. On the site, there was this guy who worked on a recent dive by attaching a camera to a humbolt squid. There is a special airing Novemeber 14th @ 10:00 PM EST on the History Channel that has to do with that dive. Well apparently, they caught a squid on camera that might be about 100 feet in length. A couple people have reported the size verification is difficult and the size is ranging from 50-100 feet. Regardless, they caught a very large animal on camera and the History channel bought the rights to the footage. Right now the history channel ran an add saying that the size of the squid is 108 feet. Species hasn't been determined yet. The guy on the website is telling everybody that, "Whatever we caught on film, it is big, REAL BIG." I'm hoping he isn't just playing it up for some ratings.

Can you imagine? A 100 foot long squid? If this turns out to be true, this IS the biggest find ever. This is truly a sea monster and then some. I've dreamed about seeing squid this large since I was a kid.

The new History Channel series Monster Quest is great - and this past Wednesday's episode was particularly intriguing. Hopefully they'll do a follow-up type episode later on to try and find out more.

Well I have bad news. I go to this forum "Tonmo." People like Steve O'Shea and Scott Cassle actually post there. Well Scott had some issues with the editing and facts for that episode. He said the squid was probably 25 feet long. :/ Here is what he said on the forum.
