SpaceGodzilla, deserves a second chance.

Discuss the 2nd Godzilla film era here! Beam fights, revised versions of classic kaiju, the Heisei era was a mixed bag of fun and controversy!

SpaceGodzilla, deserves a second chance.

Now, before you all yell at me......yes about 85% of this movie I really don't like. The "Psychic" girl is SO annoying!!!!

But I think SpaceGodzilla got dealt a bad card. I think with an all-around better plot and redesign the movie could be a heck of a lot better. Including him in a future Godzilla movie wouldn't be a bad idea, as long as he was redesigned I think it would turn out to be the movie he deserves.

Thoughts?

I've always wanted Space Godzilla come back.

Perhaps when Godzilla starts up again.

I thought the design of space godzilla was great. He had such a nasty face to him, that was very detailed. Wouldn't mind seeing that again.

I really liked SpaceG the first time I watched it, but subsequent viewings don't hold up. I like the premise and, barring the absurd cuteness of BabyG, all of the designs/mecha which is probably why I do rewatch it. The execution just falls flat, and the pacing is all wrong, especially towards the end.

It is far better than Heisei Ghidorah though. That film makes my brain hurt, and is unintentionally creepy in parts.

I'll jump on the Millenium bandwagon too. Those films do have a spunk that the Heisei films don't, and I suspect they'll also age better than the Heisei films have.

Man, the Millennium series felt like a rehash of the Heisei series (with the exceptions of GMK and GFW). Quite frankly, this series hasn't had a bit of spunk (and barley any creativity or imagination involved) since the Showa movies.
