You guys do realize that since the locations in the movie are held at South America, Mexico, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, with New York City not being part of the location list.

Besides, we've seen that storyline over a year ago. So, don't be surprised if we are in for a different storyline...

I agree with MouthForWar. He never said they were "kids" films, he said "stop pretending Godzilla is "adult sci fi" like Alien or Predator". Every Godzilla film has been produced as family entertainment at the most.

That's what makes Godzilla just as enjoyable and accessible as Spider-Man. You can be 6, 16, or 60 and the films still offer the same level of fun and escapism.

I am for one just glad there is going to be a Godzilla movie as long as Godzilla is not the Gino design. The design in the poster from "SOS" looks acceptable. Maybe if this movie does well Toho will rejuvenate the series hopefully bringing back Keneko for a follow up to GMK. OK I can dream can't I ? When is Toho supposed to relaunch the series anyways I thought they said 5 years after Final wars making it 2009 ?

But there's a huge difference between a make believe comic book character living a fantasy based story. And little Japanese kids in ultra tight shorts running around like little mutants, terrible Jerry Lewis style acting, huge monsters waving to each other and to people, Monsters sliding on their tails making car screeching sounds, Please don't make me go on........

Spiderman is proof that you don't have to make piece of garbage for it to be family friendly.
That's just the old standard TOHO cop out for not being talented enough, or respectful enough to make a reasonable film.
If you're going to bring it to that level. Why not just make Godzilla on ice? Guest starring Bert and Ernie.
